20 years on from the release of the first-ever S3 model, Audi has raised the game with the new 2021 Audi S3. Benefiting from a seven-speed S-Tronic gearbox, S-Specific sports suspension and Quattro all-wheel drive as standard – power is delivered effortlessly.
It’s apparent from the first glimpse of the new 2021 Audi S3 models that they are energetic. The prevalent front grille and dramatic yet effective air intakes scream speed! A single, distinct line flows from the headlights to the rear lights while the lower sections of the car sweep inward to accentuate the wheel arches. At the rear, you’re greeted with 4 exhaust tailpipes housed by a big diffuser.
Launching from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds with 310PS and 400Nm of torque, the new models are powered by the same 2.0L TFSI engine that we are already familiar with. There’s also a plethora of noise from the 4 cylinder engine. The top speed is restricted just over 155mph.
The new S3 is all grown up. The dimensions of the new models have been increased slightly from their predecessor. This is noticed by your shoulders and elbows inside the car. The interior has been aligned with the rest of the range with the compact gear shifter and driver-orientated touchscreens up to 12.3 inches. The upgraded MMI system also allows owners to lock and unlock the doors and even start the engine from your phone (only on Andriod, I believe).
You can pre-order your new 2021 Audi S3 now but the delivery date for European countries is expected to be October 2021. OTR Price from £38,000. There will be special edition models for the launch, available in Tango Red (saloon) or Python yellow (hatchback) with 19-inch black alloy wheels.
